4th of July 2007

We spent our first 4th of July in Alaska yesterday! I have to admit it wasn't quite like we are used to. The high yesterday was barely 60 degrees and it rained on and off most of the day. We did go downtown for the parade and after the parade was a fair. We walked around for a few minutes, but then the rain started, so we stopped and got raindeer sausages (of course!) and then went to see the Transformers movie (again...of course!). They don't do fireworks because it doesn't get dark enough (well yesterday might have been, but that rain not good for fireworks either!). Happy 4th to everyone!!



After the parade there was a little fair. The weather was a little chilly and the rain started so we didn't stay too long, but we had to see the old military vehicles :)
