New Years Eve

Last night for New Year's Eve we went into Anchorage for their New Year's celebration. It was held in the town square which has been turned into a skating rink. So there was skating, fire jugglers, live music, snow sculpting and at 8pm there was a firework display from over top the convention center. The kids skated around the ice with their boots and danced to keep warm :) Fire jugglers were set up all around the square each doing something different. The one set of 3 girls weren't but maybe 10 years old really good! There was hot cider and berry tea to help keep a little warm. We wandered around enjoying everything until just about 8pm when we found our spot to enjoy the show. The fireworks were really impressive. It lasted about 20 minutes right over head with music still playing. Since the fireworks were over before 8:30 we headed home afterwards to hot food, snacks and hanging out until midnight.
